Mission Trip - Costa Rica 2026

Trip: South Rock Christian Church – Costa Rica Summer Mission
Timeline: Summer 2026
Cost: $1,800
Age: 13 and up are welcome on this trip, however, if under 18, a parent/guardian must also attend. 

Overview
South Rock Christian Church is assembling a team to serve in Costa Rica next summer. Partnering with Conexion Ministries, this trip focuses on meeting physical needs while being the light of Christ by helping other find and follow Him. 

Work & Ministry Areas
Team members must be prepared to serve in a variety of capacities, including:

• Construction: Physical labor to support community infrastructure.
• Compassion Ministry: Feeding programs for the less fortunate.
• Youth Outreach: Ministry within local schools.
• Medical Fairs: Assisting with basic health and hygiene checks.
• Evangelism: Sharing the Gospel in the community.

Financials

• Timeline
  • $100 deposit will be collected at submission of application
  • 50% (which will include the deposit) will be due February 28th, this is so flights can be booked
  • 100% will be due June 1st

Team Selection Process
This is a working mission trip. The final trip roster will be determined after a review of all applications. Acceptance is not automatic; we are building a team best suited to meet the specific needs of our partners on the ground.

All interested individuals must complete the application process and submit a deposit. If for any reason, one is not selected for this trip you will be refunded the entirety of the deposit. Application window closes January 25th and the team will be finalized on February 6th. 

Selection Criteria
Team member selection will be guided by the following five factors:

1. Nature of the trip: Alignment of the applicant's schedule and expectations with the trip’s specific demands.
2. Qualifications of the applicant: Skills relevant to the work (e.g., trade skills, Spanish language, medical background, teaching).
3. Health and ability: The general health and physical ability of the applicant to perform the tasks involved.
4. Overall makeup of the Team: Making sure the skills and abilities of the team can work well together in an effective manner. 
5. Spiritual growth: The applicant’s willingness to grow spiritually and submit to leadership.
